The majority of our testers who were parents loved the large storage basket that can hold a lot of gear. The seats reclined effortlessly and there was enough space for kids to sit. The brake pedal on the back is easy to reach and operate with one hand. While the stroller is larger and more difficult to maneuver, it's worth the extra space for parents who appreciate spacious strollers.
The City Select 2 is also compatible with Baby Jogger infant car seats, Britax, Graco Chicco, Maxi-Cosi and Graco (adapters are sold separately). This means you can use a double or single stroller from birth to the time you reach toddlerhood.
The stroller isn't inexpensive, but it's likely to be the only stroller you'll need to purchase, so if you can afford it, we believe it's worth the money. Particularly when you consider the top quality and sturdy construction. The finish is stunning and the fabric connections are strong without being rumpled. The 5-point harness snaps together easily, offers a variety of adjustment options and is comfortable to wear for children of all sizes. The seat cover is machine washable with cold water. The stroller is a bit shorter than other strollers we tested and can be opened to a 29-inch width that allows it to fit in the standard doorways of 30 inches.
The stroller was not rated highly in terms of user-friendliness in part because it's very basic it doesn't have storage containers or deep recline on the seats, and there's only a small cup holder for parents to use on the handlebars. It has a 5-point safety harness that has double-rethread straps that are easier to adjust than those on other strollers.
During our tests, we assessed the ease with which we could move, turn, and fold the strollers. Folding and unfolding are two of the most essential features for travel strollers since they usually have a limited storage space in the trunk of cars. The strollers that fold easily and in a couple of steps scored better and also those with automatic locks. Strollers that stand upright when folded and are used with a one-handed fold also received high scores.
The UPPAbaby G-Link 2 is the most simple to push and turn, whereas the Mountain Buggy Nano takes a bit more effort to control but still performs very well in our test. The brand new Delta Children LX side by side is extremely light and has a an easy-to-fold frame that's as small as a few of the top umbrella strollers. Its bare-bones design and wallet-friendly cost make it a desirable choice for parents seeking an umbrella stroller that is easy to carry, lift, and store.
